Grains are identified as cereals suitable for food for human and animal consumption. Oilseeds are those grains that are also valuable for food as well as their oil content.
They are renewable resources largely determined by crop production cycles, weather and ongoing shifts in global market trades and demand.

When buying, the buyer in the destination market must consider several factors before selecting a supply region for sourcing grains and oilseeds. These factors are freight rates, the guarantee of timely delivery and flexibility in shipping arrangements.
Most large shipments of grains and oilseeds are shipped in Panamax vessels that pick up the soybeans at the export elevator and deliver them to the port of destination. Panamax time charter rates are key variables used to calculate ocean freight rates on a per-ton basis. We also ship in containers in loose bulk or break bulk according to the need of our customers.
